Obituary of Concetta T. Pennington

Concetta "Connie" T. (Inglese) Pennington, age 102, of Middleborough, died on Monday, September 30, 2019, at the Nemasket Healthcare Center in Middleborough.

Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, on November 19, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Peter & Mary (DiFillipo) Inglese.  Connie was only six months old when her family moved to Middleborough; she was one of eight children.  Connie attended Middleborough Public Schools and worked in Lobals during World War II and then became a housewife.  She later worked as a head cook for the Burkland School in Middleborough for 18 years.  Connie was devoted to her Catholic faith, she was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Middleborough, belonged to the Sodality of Our Lady and was a member of the Middleborough Senior Citizens.  She enjoyed travelling and playing bingo.  Connie resided in same the Middleborough house, for all of her life--102 years!  She was a beautiful and elegant lady and will be missed by many. 

Connie was the beloved wife of the late David A. Pennington, Sr.; devoted mother of David A. Pennington, Jr. & his wife Karen of Middleborough; loving grandmother of David Pennington, III & his wife Kathleen, Danielle Ellis & her husband Ronald, Kristen McPherson, Michele Donnelly & her husband Michael, Melanie Faulk & her husband Daniel; great-grandmother of nine and great great-grandmother of five and dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to the visiting hours at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Friday, October 4, 2019, from 3:00-7:00 PM.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Ashley Funeral Home, Middleborough, on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at 9:00 AM, followed by her funeral Mass of Christian Burial at the Sacred Heart Church, 340 Centre Street, Middleborough, at 10:00 AM.

Services will conclude with the interment at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Wood Street, Middleborough.
