Linda B. (McCallum) Thomas, age 78, of The Villages, Florida, died on Friday, March 27, 2020.
Linda was the daughter of the late Jeremiah D.S. & Zola (Anderson) McCallum. She was born and grew up in Middleborough and graduated from Middleborough High School.
Linda worked in various jobs, starting at Woolworth's Department Store, and then at the Chicken House and later at Maria's Card Shop all located in Middleborough. She moved onto working for the Town of Middleborough in the Building Department as an Administrative Assistant for over 20 years. Linda retired in the early 2000's to "The Villages" in Florida with her husband Donald. Linda enjoyed golfing, bowling and was a member of the Laurel Manor Quilting Guild, and served as the Guild's President. Family and friends were important to Linda; she was involved in her children's lives and cherished her relationships. Linda & Donald travelled all around the world, especially Europe.
Linda was the beloved wife of the late Donald Nelson Thomas; loving mother of Cassi Belli & her husband Brian of West Wareham and Glenn Bigelow & Susan McCallum of Middleborough; cherished grandmother of Tara Bigelow of Wareham, Courtney Sutcliffe & Warren of Orlando, FL, China Bigelow of Brighton, the late Keri Lynn Bigelow and great-grandmother of Aidrianna Bigelow and Emmett Sutcliffe; dear sister of Barbara Ann Ekstrom of Middleborough and the late Scott McCallum. She is also survived by her former husband, Glenn J. Bigelow of Rehoboth as well as dear nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Funeral and interment services will be private.
