Gail A. (Charles) MacDonald, age 80, of Middleborough, died on Sunday, July 19, 2020, at the Morton Hospital in Taunton.
Born in Melrose, she was the daughter of the late Hygus & Alice (Winslow) Charles. Gail started dating her future husband, James, at the age of 14, and together they shared a good life, married for 62 years. For many years, she was a Certified Nursing Assistant, providing home care services to many with compassion and love. Gail loved music; she played the piano and enjoyed singing in church and grange events along with her husband, Jim. She also enjoyed quilling, which is an art form involving the use of different strips of paper that are shaped, rolled and glued together, making decorative designs. A loving lady, she will be missed by many.
Gail was the beloved wife of James G. MacDonald, Jr.; loving mother of Pamela Agnew & her husband Richard of Mexico, LouAnn Harkins & her husband Daniel of Wyoming and James G. MacDonald III of Middleborough and the late Denise MacDonald; cherished grandmother of many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; dear sister of Janet Lyden of California, Louise Astin of Connecticut, Marjorie Freer of Connecticut and Grace Brown of Florida. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
There will be NO visiting hours.
Family and friends are invited to the Memorial Services at the Calvary Baptist Church, 429 Monponsett Street, (Route 58), Hanson, on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at 11:00 AM.
Interment services will be private.
